Cave B Estate Winery, Washington

Cave B Winery Washington

Majestic canyon views and sweeping vineyards!  Its like getting an ice cream sundae with your chocolate cake….sweet!  Tucked in the Columbia Valley, just two and a half hours outside Spokane, is Cave B Estate Winery.  This picturesque property boasts a restaurant, an array of accommodations for you and your guests, as well as a spa with services that are incorporated into some of their wedding packages.

There are five places on the property to hold a ceremony along with a poolside area for rehearsal dinners.  From indoor, outdoor, 10 guests to 250 you are sure to find a a spot that suits you.  You also have your pick of four uniquely different overnight experiences. There are private cliff houses, inn rooms, cavern rooms and yurts.  The yurts caught my attention right off the bat. Spherical and environmentally friendly these skydome rooms have some of the best views of the property with a “closer to nature” experience.

Host a “gorge-ous girls” bridal party at the spa, enjoy a wine tasting and locally sourced food from a table overlooking the Columbia river.  What more could a girl want…..seriously!  Save yourself the hassle and plan your wine country wedding at Cave B Inn.

River Dance Lodge, Idaho

River Dance Lodge

Lets get something straight.  Plenty of girls picture their wedding day with all the trappings of a whimsical fairytale princess (insert favorite female Disney character here) fantasy.  We obsess over a particular shade of blush, our hair, the flowers, our hair, the wedding favors, our hair, every little detail and of course….our hair!  It was, however, recently brought to my attention that not every girl’s (certainly not every guys) idea of a dream wedding involves anything blush colored, lace, frills, signature pomegranate “love” cocktails in a martini glass with a raw sugar rim, is it five yet?!  But I digress.  Apparently there are perfectly sane women out there who don’t consider the half yearly sale at Nordstrom an “adventure”.  Women who get a bigger high off rapids and speed, than clip in bangs or the new Maybelline dream nude airfoam foundation.  Seriously, its a foam foundation!

Enter the “un-wedding” at River Dance Lodge.  Five spectacular acres along the Clearwater River in Kooskia, ID.  Allow me to define an “un-wedding”.  An “un-wedding” is a rafting down the Lochsa with your bridal party, a hike to a wilderness hot springs with your husband-to-be or horseback riding with your future in-laws through the Selway-Bitterroot Mountains.  The “un-wedding” is anything but traditional and everything but boring!

River Dance Lodge is also the home to Syringa Cafe (they provide packed lunches for those adrenaline packed days on the go)!  The Syringa Cafe also serves breakfast and dinner (like tide fisherman’s fettuccine or huckleberry pie.)  After a day of exploration and (if you’re like me) ungodly amounts of huckleberry pie, relax by taking a dip in the private hot tub of of your hand crafted log cabin or opt for some “glamping” (glamorous camping).  There are traditional camping options available as well…..your wedding party can take their pick!

If saying “I do” isn’t enough to get your heart racing, get “un-wed” at River Dance Lodge!  Where the experts in adventure will “create truly unforgettable wedding memories!”
