I am not what you would call an “early riser”….or a “morning person”. I prefer not to be spoken to before 8am and certainly not before a venti soy, no foam latte (asking for no foam is key in my opinion!), I am more likely to go to bed at 6am than wake up at 6am. Needless to say that 10:30 breakfast cutoff at McDonald’s has been a major point of contention between myself and the golden arches (a la Adam Sandlers character in Big Daddy….anyone?!). Alas, there are two things I will happily stop hitting the snooze button for, an Apple Brides photo shoot with Rachel of Distinction Studio and the Nordstroms half-yearly sale!
Rachel is a spitfire with the kind of enthusiasm and energy for photography that lets you know she really loves what she does. She was such a blast to work with on our latest bridal inspiration shoot at The Lincoln Center. My favorite part about this shoot was working with all the rich colors and historical features of the Monroe Ballroom. Amy of Caravan Floral & Event Design used cream and burgundy florals throughout the shoot to compliment the Brazilian hardwood floors. Deep browns and gold play off the stately velvet curtains surrounding the stage. Marcell of Marsell’s Cakes and Dessert Bakery even incorporated the same hand painted design from the ballrooms mezzanine into an elegant three tiered cake. I would highly recommend all the vendors who came together to create this elegant shoot. Take a peek at the end of the post for their contact information.
